The Stations

Our plans and visions for our stations

We have a number of projects in the pipeline including installing planters at our stations and celebrating our local industrial heritage and beautiful surrounding landscape, but our biggest project by far is to install a modernised vintage railway carriage on unused land adjacent to Hednesford railway station.

The fully restored BR railway carriage and coal wagon will be sited on a section of track located alongside the town centre Anglesey Street Car Park and will provide a community hub and gardens with accessible facilities and Incredible Edible planting.

Alongside the creation of a powerful visitor attraction for the town, the renovated carriage will also function as community space for town residents and rail users, providing stunning accommodation for community groups, book clubs, social tea parties and myriad local gatherings.
